My wife and I have had the chance to train with Clint several times in the past (Thunder Ranch TX facility in the 90s). Great individual, great facility and great training. I have had the chance to train with some of the top instructors in this country over the years, and Clint has always been one of the top ones on my list.

Best wishes to him and Heidi and the rest of their staff. Truly a class act!

I always wanted a place where I could shoot.

He has earned it. Gotta love a man who carries a 1911 G-model as a BUG. :)

As I understand it, one motivation of the non-lead ammo rule was to keep the place more desirable to eventual buyers. (Not saying that was the only motivation.) Lead may not be the great evil that it once was, but it does, still, affect resale value of land.

I am not as old as Clint Smith, being not quite sixty, but I am old enough to know that shooting starts to hurt, as one ages, and that maintaining one’s real property gets to be relatively more of a burden. He has done MUCH good, and has certainly “earned it.”
