In pa what kind of repercussions are there for concealed carrying in a place with no gun signs present. I generally make it a practice to not frequent places that do not allow law abiding and licensed citizens not to bear arms but some times there is not choice but to go. I know some states the manager or store owner must simply ask you to leave, other places that is simply not the case. I am usually very good about concealing in a manor that is not noticeable but I don't want trouble with the law or be one of the those guys that make CC look bad.

There are almost no signs anywhere in PA. I don't think I've ever seen a No Firearms sign.
I carry concealed and I carry everywhere except for those few places that are specifically restricted. Federal Buildings, Courthouse, Magistrates Office, etc.
No Weapons of any sort in KennyWood Amusement Park. I heard that there was one bar in the Strip District in Pittsburgh with a NO GUNS signs posted.
If...as you have stated...you conceal well - then go everywhere armed. I do.
I go all around Pennsylvania and I can't remember a time when I have had to remove my OWB firearm and leave it in the car.
Enjoy your freedom while it lasts.

As the OP said, I wonder the same thing sometimes. I guess if concealed well, and nobody knows, no harm, no foul, right?

I just wonder, IF something were to happen where a BG came in and started indiscriminately firing or stabbing or trying to seriously injure innocent people... what would be the repercussions if you were to draw, fire and stop the threat?

Would people be happy you were able to defend life and limb, or would you be lambasted for carrying in a place where you were clearly not supposed to be?

In Texas a person licensed to carry can conceal in places with the "No Guns Signs". The only signs we have to adhere to is the 30.06 and 51% signs.

Our instructor said the places that post the "No Gun Signs" are ether meant for the employees and/or to deter criminals from carrying and I'm sure the BG's would not want to carry any place that doesn't allow guns. These sheeple don't realize when the BG's see this sign and they are more comfortable with robbing a business that doesn't like guns!

Someone posed this question in my CPL class.

I don't think you'd have to worry about criminal liability, however, in Michigan you wouldn't have blanket coverage under the Self-Defense Act of 2006, meaning you could be sued in civil court. Reason being because you didn't have the legal "right" to be there.

At least, that's was my instructor's understanding. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong!

I'm with QKShooter, I have never seen a firearms prohibited sign except for the ones posted at The Meadows casino. I have yet to see one at the entrance to a private business or bar.

Now I am not a lawyer, but I believe that such a sign wouldn't hold any legal weight in PA. If you are made, they could ask you to leave. If you do not leave immediately, then you would be trespassing. This is my understanding through my own research.

"What would be the repercussions?" The only IMPORTANT repercussion is the fact that by drawing a firing, you would be ALIVE to face any possible repercussions. I would much prefer living and allowing the legal eagles to fight things out later on.

I've seen a couple of signs but have just ignored them. I believe they would just ask to you leave and if you didn't, I'm assuming the trespass thing would come in to play. I called the sheriff's office once and asked them about it and they said if you see a sign you may want to leave it in your glove box. I emphasize "may". Stay concealed, stay safe.

Dude, you're in Pennsylvania! Carry everywhere but the Post Office, Schools, and Court Houses. Military bases are a given no-no.

In short, carry just about everywhere and don't get so worked up about it!

There was a local Video store i went to for years i spent hundreds of dollars a year maybe more. When Ky started the CC law i got mine and started carrying The video store had a sign saying no CC in store. I stopped going there. And so did all my friends. They lost so much money after a couple of years they went out of buisness. We all need to follow that example.

Not sure but, I think the new Pittsburgh casinos are no firearm carry.

You go in there with your fat wallet and it's OK for them to rob you but, they don't want to take any chances that you might rob them.

The casino owners don't want to take that gamble.

That is why you can bet that they will never get a dollar of my money.
