Sitting in my pickup and a guy starts jaywalking not 15 ft. from the cross walk. Kinda seeding looking and seems to be intent on looking at the stopped vehicles. He did move on , but I had pulled up my shirt discreately to be able to make a faster draw if nessesary. Reminded me to practice draws from seated in the truck some more.

Yellow is good Rocky - at all times!!! White bad - yellow good!

Draw while in truck is something I often consider - and have developed a belt positioning so that shirt/vest is not captive left or right. That means that while my piece is quite some ways round on right - I can get at it and in fact while driving I often slide rig from 3.30 to 3.00 for better access.

I think apart from a sho rig - seated draw in truck will always be slower but that said - I am glad I rarely drive a car - that is way worse for draw!

I am a leftie, so while easier to draw (I think) the gun is closer to the window and almost impossible to fire on an angle behind me. Atleast the seatbelt doesn't hinder my draw.

Mitch Rosen makes an anti car jacking rig for off side apendix carry while seated. Sky marshalls use a sweater to cover. I'd like to have one with belt snaps. I hate bucket seats!

For leftys, I had the idea (like all my grand ideas) to make the holster accept the gun both ways. It would make a left hand FBI cant into an appendix cross draw for the right hand. Perfect for the Cretin at the driver's door. Gary? I am crazy on this one, aren't I?

Drawing and shooting from a vehicle is tough. People tend to forget they already have a deadly weapon "drawn", in their hand, and ready to go: the vehicle. I've got a lot better chance of hitting somebody with my truck than I do a bullet. If deadly force is warranted, deadly force is warranted...does not matter what the instrumentality is. And, if you are not sure enough to employ force, hit the gas. Bug out. You can't be carjacked if you are already 6 blocks up the road.

Stuck in traffic , with no intent apperent. Don't think the 3 cars in front of me would appreciate being slammed thru a red light on a feeling. If I had the space to manuver I might have. Defenitely if he got much closer.
