So the thugs grabbed his gun!!! Yes we can say keep distance while filming the thieves... call the cops... keep gun in hand... etc... not all thieves are scared of your gun.. or you!
Yea... a real cone head Boyd .. He was commissioned as a second lieutenant in the Air Force following completion of the Reserve Officers' Training Corps program at the University of Iowa. On March 27, 1953, Boyd arrived in Korea as an F-86 Sabre pilot. In the two months until the Korean War armistice on July 27, Boyd flew 22 missions in F-86 Sabres, in which he did not fire his guns or score a kill. After his service in Korea, he was invited to attend the Fighter Weapons School (FWS). Boyd attended the school and graduated at the top of his class. Upon graduation, he was invited to stay at the FWS as an instructor. He became head of the Academic Section and wrote the tactics manual for the school. He was dubbed "Forty Second Boyd" for his standing bet as an instructor pilot that beginning from a position of disadvantage, he could defeat any opposing pilot in air combat maneuvering in less than 40 seconds. During the Vietnam War, he served as Vice Commander of Task Force Alpha and as Commander of the 56th Combat Support Group at Nakhon Phanom Royal Thai Air Force Base in Thailand from April 1972 to April 1973.The OODA Loop?
Sounds like something some con man created in order to make money conducting paid seminars.
Pure psychobabble.
So he can fly and work in government? OK.Yea... a real cone head Boyd .. He had so much psychobabble the Bush Administration called Boyd back to work on the plans for Operation Desert Storm. Boyd had substantial influence on the ultimate "left hook" design of the plan.
In January 1980 Boyd gave his briefing Patterns of Conflict at the US Marines AWS (Amphibious Warfare School), which led to the instructor, Michael Wyly, and Boyd changing the curriculum. That was with the blessing of General Trainor, who later asked Wyly to write a new tactics manual for the Marines.

The Strategic Theory of John Boyd - Tasshin
Boyd was one of the greatest military strategists of all time, alongside Sun Tzu and Karl von Clausewitz. In this post, I synthesize my own research and understanding of Boyd’s account of strategy in general.tasshin.com
Yea real psychobabble... meanwhile RScottee what is your resume?
Sometimes I wonder who’s ignore list I’m on; makes me feel kinda bad, those people must really hate themselves.Oh, and welcome to my Ignore List on this forum.

See Boyd graduated from the University of Iowa in 1951 with a bachelor's degree in economics and later earned a second bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. And the other guy who co-developed the OODA, Thomas Christie, had a B.S. degree in mathematics in May 1955 and from New York University with an M.S. degree in applied mathematics in September 1962. They developed several theories that are now used by the USAF.So he can fly and work in government? OK.
Where did he get his expertise on the inner workings of the human mind?
After your response, I'm even more convinced he has devised a pretty good speaking tour topic that will sustain him far better than his measly AF and Government Pensions.
Lot's of money in that don't ya know?
As P.T. Barnum was known to say, "There's a sucker born every minute."
When it's time to shoot, shoot! Don't analyze.
No, just very comfy. It got cold up here in SwVA this week, still hot at the Tiki Bar?
I get it, you're a fan.See Boyd graduated from the University of Iowa in 1951 with a bachelor's degree in economics and later earned a second bachelor's degree in industrial engineering from the Georgia Institute of Technology. Ever hear of the Energy–maneuverability theory? No? Well that figures...
E-M theory became the world standard for the design of fighter aircraft. Nah you wouldn't know about that, right?
How about the Aerial Attack Study? It is what the USAF uses as their official tactics manual for fighter aircraft. No clue, right?
New Conception for Air-to-Air Combat he wrote about? 4 August 1976? No idea?
Now see his OODA came from his observations made based on his experience in Thailand during the Vietnam War was that in future conflicts, the attrition-firepower model of warfare that had prevailed since the Industrial Revolution would become less important, and the ability to rapidly and accurately acquire and act on information would take on greater importance. The faster you acquire the information and faster you use it will force the enemy to react to events that have already been done and other events are developing before they can figure out what is happening.
Don't need a shrink degree to see how that works... good martial artist, especially Bruce Lee, have wrote about how attack and response speeds matter so much.
And Boyd has written many books and authored many papers.
Meanwhile Scottie.. what are your degrees in?
I merely have one in Business and Computer Science (BBA.)
I'm so squared away that I don't need a list to ignore them.Sometimes I wonder who’s ignore list I’m on; makes me feel kinda bad, those people must really hate themselves.![]()
Well never confuse a poster... they may or may not have an education and they may or may not be intelligent. But they seem to 'think' they know how intelligent others are...

How intelligent those others believe themselves to be generally becomes apparent during the course of any lengthy discussion.Well never confuse a poster... they may or may not have an education and they may or may not be intelligent. But they seem to 'think' they know how intelligent others are...
