I am interested in purchasing a CZ 75 P-01 but am wondering if it is available in a NY compliant 10 round magazine configuration. Also, if it is available in a 10 round magazine SKU can I use high capacity magazines in it if I move to a more permissive state in the future? Thanks in advance for your answers...

I am pretty sure the answer is affirmative to the second question because 14-round capacity magazines are readily available.
As to the first question, CZ USA should be able to answer for sure but it seems The Gunsource has it in two versions; one with the 10 round mag and the other one with the 14.

the 10-round version is #01199. I would still ask CZ, to be sure.

Yes, your dealer would have to specify the 10 round version.
I'm loving my new P-01, but the tac light seems hard to get off.

Since you are the resident CZ guru...have you fondled the P-07 yet? I really have a jones for one of these but I love my P-01. is the P-07 that much of a quantum leap that I can't live without it:image035:

This past weekend I fondled one at a gun show. I really, really liked the way it felt in my hand! So much so, that it drew me back to that table three times for a fondle. I also like the function of being able to have a strong double action first shot with much lighter follow ups, and having a decocker. The only thing that really bothers me is that a year ago, they could have been purchased for $420, now they are around $600.

There are NY and California compliant versions of the P01 available. Just wish Cali would wise up to the "black gun" issue.

Not to turn this into a P-07 thread but I bought one Monday from a local dealer for $450.
Budsgunshop.com has them for $418 right now.
I like it, feels good. I will be changing out the sights asawa (As Soon As Wallet Allows) though. I'm looking forward to getting in some range time with it.

I'd look into some MMC adj. nites, or even fixed nites if they could do them.

I am very happy with the CZ Phantom 9mm that I just picked up.
Feels good in the hand, 18 + 1, has been very accurate, and no failures of any kind with first 200 rounds.
Cons: I am hoping the trigger will smooth out with more work. The checkering/stippling is very pronounced to the point of almost too much. But it was bought as a range/competition gun so not so bad.

I have the Phantom, it is great, very accurate and reliable and lines up so naturally. Awesome gun. The trigger will smooth out soon. The only downside is that it tends to eject the spent brass towards your face on lighter loads, though not as badly if you have a real firm grip + locked wrists and elbows and thus a better handle on muzzle flip.

I've heard that Phantom triggers are not so great. I hope they do smooth out with use.
