Hot weather is going to be coming on soon and shirts and shorts will be coming out. There are so many carry options( M&P shield, Beretta Nano, Kimber Solo, SA XD-S etc.) it makes my head spin. I want to choose one for summer carry, just not sure which one. Owners of any of the above feel free to weigh in(pros and cons). Help please.

Hey Hoplyte. It's already warming up here in Houston. Have been in golf shorts more than jeans or slacks lately, today excepted. Those are all fine options but I've got to say that my M&Pc 9mm is concealing just fine with golf shorts and a CBST. Can't see it and feels great. Gives me a few more rounds than the options you mentioned. Don't worry. The spinning will stop.
Ordered a 3 Speed. Here in Houston, I spend about 85% of the time in Drawstring shorts. It might be awhile this is my first EDC. But, I will try to get an honest review out.3 Speed Holster

Lots of good choices so it will really boil down to personal preference. My wife carries a Ruger LC9, sister in law just got a Beretta Nano, and I have a Shield. I would recommend any of the three.
Must be hot as crap with tactipac, the whole area is huge, will cover big part of your body and make you sweat.
I'd rather have something on the outside so you can open quickly and draw your weapon.
Not waist pack, they look so bad and everybody knows you have a gun
Model 60 in .38 in an Uncle Mike's pocket holster in yer pocket. Added Bonus - You become an official member of the Old Farts Club.

My Summer guns are my S&W 642 and Ruger LCP.

Pocket carry for both in simple Uncle Mike's holsters.
My CCW of choice is the CM9, where 'deep concealment' is the primary criterion. Where a very slightly larger gun is workable, I go with the Shield 9 - like the ergos a little better.
I recently got a Shield 9 and a Garrett Industries IWB holster. We went out to eat lunch last Saturday and I carried wearing jeans and an untucked tee shirt with no problem. I can carry a G27 that way too though. You learn how to not print, like squatting down instead of bending over.
I'll say it again...I love my Beretta Nano. 250 rounds so far with zero problems. It's sitting nicely in a Theis IWB hybrid holster, and it's quite comfortable. Highly recommend this combo. I gotta a PJ Holster coming in soon (I hope); when I get it, I'll review it here.
My S&W m&p 9mm compact conceals well under a t-shirt in warm weather in a glaco king -tuk. Out of the ones you mentioned for the money Id go with the shield.
OP- how do you intend to carry? That will drive the sidearm selection.

Three suggestions - calibers .380, .38 special and 9mm

Here are three deep concealment options that have worked well for me. They are a Sig P238 in a Don Hume IWB holster, a S&W 642 revolver in a DeSantis pocket holster, and a Kahr MK9 in a Comp-Tac IWB tuckable appendix holster. They are all very low profile and hide easily.

10thmtn, IWB or AIWB for certain, OWB possible.

They are all too small for my tastes. My full-sized edcs all hide nicely under a T-shirt.
I have been going in circles myself with this issue. I am currently carrying a Kahr CW9 in a Comp-Tac 2 O'clock. It works, but when I get really hot and sweaty, it gets a little uncomfortable. I am going to go back to the trusty pocket carry. Not sure if I am going to go with a semi-auto .380 or a good old fashioned revolver. Either one is fine for summertime pocket carry though.
I love the nano but still don't trust it. I hate kahr and kimber vehemently. If it was me, I'd carry a Shield or Xds iwb with a sticky and I'd also get a tuckable iwb (comptac Mtac) for when I'm dressing nicer.

I currently carry a shield iwb as stated above and love it. Moved from a m&p 9 to the shield. I'll never go back. Not even in winter.

Good luck.
My typical summer carry is a Glock 27 in either a Fist clip-on kydex holster worn appendix IWB or Smartcarry depending on clothing.

You mentioned Nano.
I'm getting one whenever they arrive at the dealer; I see it as a potential alternative to my sometimes carried P3AT in a pocket holster.
I had a Kahr PM9 in the past and sometimes carried it in a pocket holster (many variables).

Kahr PM9: 5.4'' l x 4.0'' h x .9 slide (1.1 at slide release)
Nano: 5.6'' l x 4.2'' h x .9 slide
J-frame (for reference): 6.4'' l x 4.3'' h x 1.3 cylinder

You mentioned Shield, I will not but a gun with an internal lock.

In that case, you can get something larger than a "pocket-sized" sidearm. As you noted, there are many choices. Make a list of features you like/dislike, narrow your choices down, and then head to the range to try as many of the remaining candidates as you can. Don't neglect revolvers, either.

Good luck!
I looked at similar options and I ended up picking a steel J frame revolver (S&W 640 in .357). Get out and shoot a bunch. Out of the options you listed, for IWB/ AIWB/ OWB, I would look at the Shield or a Kahr CW9 or CM9 if you want a little smaller.
