Totally agree. Not much to be gained out of a +p .38 but a .357 up's the power factor, even in a snub. A heart will not know the difference between the 2 rounds. I personally carry a 2.5" S&W 19 with my trusty model 36 as a BUG. The 36 is always with me and is another revolver to consider.First let me welcome a fellow Virginian to the forum.
Any of the Smith's revolvers are a good choice's, but I chose the .357. I can shoot both .38 and .357. This gives you a few more options.
