Doctor Optics Red Dot Scope looks good

1845 5
Wasn't sure where to post this & hope this is the place.

Saw this in gunshop today: http://www.docteropticsusa.com/

The small red dot scope mounted on a pistol. Very impressive. They let me take it outside in bright daylight to see how it did & it did great.

Looks small enough to not be a problem with any of my holsters.

Anyone here have one or know of them? Comments?

AC - one or two guys at club have fitted these to their slabsides to very good effect and seems you can, with right rig, still holster gun pretty easily.

Downside for me when looking into them was cost - IIRC very expensive! Cost aside, I'd like one or two.

Closest I have to those is my Bushnell HoloSight on BFR but it is bigger substantially.

I've heard nothing but good things about The Doctor

Here is another (same type) and fairly new out on the market by TRUGLO
Their stuff is also very high quality.
Their archery sights have been around for quite a while.
Slightly less expensive than The Doctorsight.

What's wrong with me. Here I go again agreeing with QKShooter. The TRUGLO that he mention's above is the ones that I have been using for about a year. I have 3. One on a chopped down bbl NEF .45-70. I shoot max handloads and it still works fine. One on a Bushmaster Carbon 15 -works fine. And a Marlin 1894,16"bbl,5 1/2 pound gun. These little scopes are recoil proof. A huge plus is that you don't have to dismount the scope, just to change the battery as you do in a Tasco Optima and I assume you do in a Doctor. I got one of my TRUGLO's directly from TRUGLO for $189 but I don't believe that you can still do that. The last two that I bought were from Cabela's for $219. I believe that you can find them cheeper now. With TRUGLO the mount is built in. With Doctor,as was Tasco, you had to pay extra(about $40.) for the mount. I believe that you can only mount the TRUGLO to a pistol or rifle that has a small base installed. The Doctor's, as did the Optima's (with the intended mount) goes in the place of your rear sight.--------- P.S QKShooter, please start saying stuff that I don't agree with. I've been way too happy lately. Thanks ---------
