So I just put a FAL on layaway at the local toy store. Don't know much about them, but I've wanted one for awhile.

First question, how do you tell the difference between inch and metric pattern FAL's? I know most of the British Commonwealth guns were inch pattern, but I'm not sure how to tell exactly what this is. Thanks.

Congrats on the new battle rifle. You can find more info at Fal files forum, like what parts can be interchanged between metric and inch Fals. I have 2 metric Fals.
