"I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, any average hard-working American is worth more today than all those who chase the golden statues of Hollywood; and ultimately if they want to go down the superiority path, what they provide is useless."

Modern journalists, no more essential to life than scripted narrative engineers dancing as puppets on strings in boxes, are inconsequential. The true American story is not built upon celebrity; but rather grit, callouses and dirty fingernails. Farmers, truck drivers, stock clerks and supermarket cashiers are essential; …dancing puppets, not so much.
Here's the best:

Desperate and yearning for someone, anyone, to reaffirm their importance, the miserable and pitiful harbingers of irrelevance cry out in a desperate quest for meaning. Please forgive my frank and direct response, but apparently someone needs to call the baby ugly.
Great post, @SpringerXD :danceban: I am still laughing!

These weak excuses for Americans have made the story about them, their feelings, how it is affecting their lives.
They are not journalists anymore, they are storytellers reading stories to a kindergarten class.
Did you see FREDO Cumo come out of his basement at his house in the Hampton's after he said he was down there for 2 weeks.
Then the story comes out a few days before, he got into an altercation with a neighbor while he was out and about in public with the kung flu.
What a liar. I think they were calling it his Brian Williams moment

Well said, thanks for posting. When hurricanes blow through here and put everyone in the dark it is not the celebrities holding sing alongs that get the power back on but it is the hard working folks from the utility companies working long hours in dangerous conditions that I am grateful for.

OMG!!! The guy is still being paid. He suffers no hardship whatsoever!

We had a good thing going in America the past few years. Life was easy and those that chose to do so had the opportunity to be soft. In many ways the differences between men and women were the narrowest they ever where. I do not mean that women were more manly(our women are always strong). I mean that men were able to act much less like men and still do fine.

Those times are gone. Now is the time to be a man, not cry on Twitter for no real reason. Everyone and every business will be judged by how they handled this crisis and an honest man will have to judge himself as well. Not just the virus part but the economic pain that will last longer. How many people did you directly help during this crisis? Were you a rock for others to lean on or did you cry on Twitter? How did you treat your employees? Those that depend on you and those in your community? Did you support your local small businesses over national corporate chains?

I am doing my best each and every day. Maybe not as well as I would like, but my best. Who knows what I will end up losing by the end? I will regardless keep grinding and be happy with myself when this is over.

Grandfather, he and my grandmother lived thru hard times. The Spanish Flu. The Crash. The Great Depression. Two World Wars with heartache and loss of loved ones. Grandfather got cheated a few times too in deals. But they loved each other and us. My grandmother taught me Psalm 23 by dim lamplight. Hard work and hard won for a young master. I’m able to recite it to this day as one of my favorite verses and one of my favorite memories. Grandfather repeated these words below to me several times because he thought it important to learn and live by...

Food on the table. Roof over our heads. Warm place to sleep. We’re living high on the hog. Yes sir, high on the hog.

Never forgot the words, the lesson, or the meaning. Blessed to be born in the greatest country America. More blessed to have known and been loved by these fine folks. They’re long gone but fondly remembered.

These cry baby whiners? They’re not worth a drop of sweat on my ancestors’ brow.

Look at me, look at me, look at me. Pathetic.
We should get fat tire bicycles, take a picture and flood Fredo's social media and mail box with them. I think I remember a picture of Obama riding a fat tire bike.

Don’t you be dragging fat bikes into this. Obama is as much a bike rider as I am a socialist...

I just found my new sig line. "Good grief man, cowboy-up." :35:
You might get five points for language on this one, but the phrase does resonate.

Lucky Strikes and Normandy Beach is another keeper.

Truth be told, I see versions of this journalist's whining on this site, only here it is masked by macho rhetoric and pseudo-intellectual "analysis." This has been going on for only two months! People's lives are at stake. Maybe not as many as the experts say, but still a lot. The older, at risk population, is more likely to vote conservative, so let's at least keep them alive until November! And let's wait longer than two months to do any kind of whining. Or maybe not do it ever.

@jmf522 the statistics say that virtually all accidents occur two miles from your home. All of the sites I support are within two miles of my house. Should I be permanently scared because that's what the statistics say?

I guess I could move further away, which would take me out into the woods. Not a bad idea.
