Let's review that in greater detail...Shall We?:yup:
BTW: ~ You MUST have a Lanyard Loop Mainspring Housing Installed On Your Vintage Colt 1911 .45acp Semi~Auto Pistol.

(1) Finger Out Of Trigger Guard & Off The Trigger.

(2) Partially Eject The Magazine.

(3) Pop Off Beer Bottle Bottle~Cap....like so. (See Photo)

(4) Enjoy Ice Cold Beer.

(5) Carefully Wipe Beer Foam & Froth Off Of Incredibly EXPENSIVE Vintage Colt 1911 Pistol.

Interesting. Not something I'd have thought of. I'll keep it in the back of my mind of things not to do with my 1911.

Where did you find that? Looks like it's from some old textbook type manual.

The Photo

The photo was in Hallock's .45 Auto Handbook.

It's a very small & poor quality photograph.

That was the BEST that I could scan it for the forum.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and say that Bruce has a 1911 solely for this purpose! :hand5:

The Big Question IS: Will the venerable old Colt 1911 be replaced by the "Twist Off Bottle~Cap & The Pop Open Can" ???

Not in my book...The Colt .45 Auto will always be my #1 Numero Uno Church Key.

I wonder how many of our younger members do not know what a Church Key is? :biggrin2:

I do,I do. In '69-'70 we had to use a church key to open our Carlsberg and Tuborg.(I know.......but it was free.)-------

Theres that mcgyver thing again. A little ingenuity can go along way. If you dont have a bottle opener you come up with a way to open the frosty beverage some way or another.LOL
