Found a treasure trove of 9mm ammo today

Took my wife to the range today, her first time firing her new XD9 subcompact. Imagine my surprise when I saw half a pallet of American Eagle 9mm boxes for $16 ea! Limit 4 per person so we were limited to buying 400 rounds, but hey--there could always be some left tomorrow.

Oh, and after watching my wife shoot, remind me never to be on the business end of her 9mm!

I sure hope that is an omen of what is going to be happening at my LGS. Got my new 9mm today and have zero ammo.
Sometimes you just get lucky. I got 1000 small pistol primers. A friend saw a whole pallet of 22LR at Fleet Farm the other day.
Lucky guy.....
Whoa, that is a find even with the limit. I didn't know American Eagle came in 100rd boxes, I've only seen it in 50s.
He shoots he scores!

Those were 50 rounds boxes, but with two of us we bought 8 total, so 400 rounds.

Oh that makes sense.
So did you pick your jaw up before or after you grabbed 8 boxes? Personally, I would have had to do a happy dance right there in the store... Followed by a photo of the pallet to text to all of my friends, but only after paid for my ammo.

There's tomorrow, and the next day, and the day after that.

Of course, an entire pallet isn't that much, for an ammo-starved community. It was probably gone 2hrs after you saw it. Still, it might be worth stopping by tomorrow. Ya never know.

Sounds like you and the OP made a regular Robinson Crusoe score. I have to ask...how many 5000R cases per layer x how many layers? I would guess 9 cases depending on the board's size. The last time I was at the LGS I saw nowhere near that much. Good on ya guys!!
BTW, If anyone knows of any online sources, feel free to pass that on. I have looked at Cabelas, BP, and Cheaper than Dirt. Not a thing. I looked at ammoseek.com and the cheapest I could find was $1.00/rd before shipping. No can do.

The last 35k 22lr we got at the shop lasted about 4 hrs. That was two weeks ago and we haven't seen any since.
$16 a box for cheap 9mm practice ammo and you guys are talking like it's a good thing.

It's not great, but it's not the worst either. there are 13 boxes available right now, go here --- Brown Bear 9mm 115 Grain FMJ 50 Rounds

Good luck

Ugh, I dont buy unless I can find it under $11/50. Or at least that was last yr. Got a pretty good stock right now so havent bought lately.

Edit: 100 round boxes? OK, my mistake. I thought it was 50.
According to gunbot.net Cabellas has Amaerican Eale 9mm for $15.99 limit of 5 boxes but it doesn't say how much they have in stock. It just says "limited quantities".
Are we talking 100 round or 50 round boxes?
In this irrational market it doesn't matter. Just buy as much as you can before it's all gone! Get all your friends and family to buy some too. That way you might get most of it all to yourself.
I am seeing more of these scattered reports of ammo, so things are beginning to look up. Now, whenever I stock up I will think about these last 3 months where I have had to be stingy in my ammo consumption.
