My brother has wanted this NIB UZI B for quite a while. It belongs to a friend of his. Any big purchases have to go through his wife first.

\"No,\" she says.

\"But I would really like it for Christmas. Please.\" he says.

\"No. Your (insert gun here) was fine and I liked the (insert gun) I bought you last time, but I don\'t understand the price tag on that.\"

\"Buy her something big and sparkly to call it even,\" I suggested.

Phil begged and begged his wife. And then she said he could have it, but he wasn\'t allowed to shoot it until after Christmas, because after all, it\'s his Christmas present.

So I said to Phil, \"Maybe she\'ll let me test fire it for you.\" ;)

Phil looks over at his wife with his best pleeeeeeeeeeze!

\"Don\'t worry, I won\'t let him shoot it,\" I snickered.

\"Okay.\"

Of course, some time between the time I got the Okay and range day, Phil finally convinced her that since the gun is already in his hands and since I\'m going to shoot it, she might as well let him shoot it, too.

with short dummy barrel:

Easy to shoot, weighs a ton, no recoil, decent trigger. Loads of fun, if you don\'t mind a neutered Uzi. (I\'d prefer to spend my dough on something less pricey that doesn\'t weigh so much, but hey - who am I to tell someone else what they can\'t have for fun?) :p

oh no. i see something horribly wrong with that uzi. its unexplainable in words. you must have your brother pack it up, and send it to me IMMEDIATELY. i\'ll get it worked out and fixed, all for the cost of 3 or 4 or 10 cases of ammo.

trust me, your brother will thank me later for it.

hold on, i\'ll get my ffl info......:D

Glad you got a good one - I had one 15 years ago that was the worst jammatic I ever used. Couldn\'t get a single mag through without a jam. After it went to a couple of guys, who swore it was fine, I sold/traded for a Spingfield 1911A1, a 380 of dubious parentage, a ton of ammo, and $100. Not bad when I only paid about $400 for it....
Fun gun, when it worked! Wish I could have the full auto one - that\'s the way they are supposed to work!

Armoredman – Was it a Norinco? Saying that it was a “jammatic “ and you only paid $400 for it makes me think so. I just got rid of my Norinco UZI knock-off.

Nope, original UZI from Israel, not a clone. Every company has to make at least one lemon, and I happened to get it. I was told it was the three peice Model B bolt that can cause that, and the one peice Model A bolt is much better. Now they are waaaaay to pricey for me, so I will see about that MK76 clone....:p

Exactly. I owned an AA Uzi model B with the .45 conversion kit. Ran perfectly. Sold it and years later bought a Norinco knock off. Jammed until I put an original UZI bolt in it and changed mags. Ran perfect after that. They are fun TOYS, but not really worth the money unless they are FA.

Had four mags - did it with all of them. I am not blaming UZI at all - they had to butcher thier design for our politicians, and thier original is still an excellent and fun subgun! I would love a FA UZI, right after I win the lottery.....:D
