Just received new Galco Miami Vice Shoulder Holster for H&K P7. Everything is OK except for the retention snap on the holster. I can just unsnap the retention clip while the holster is loose. When the holster is on my body (strap is touching the body) the snap is extremely hard to disengage. Just pushing on the leather piece does not release. the adjacent body prevents it from unsnapping. I have to manipulate the holster with multiple fingers to get the snap to release. Is this just a "bad" snap on this holster? I have had snaps on other IWB type holster that were much easier to unsnap, or is this common for the Galco shoulder holsters? I have read on the site that many other that are using the Galco shoulder Holsters, how are you unsnapping yours? Is there an easy to get the snap easier to release?

I've had two Galco Shoulder rigs and the snaps are a bit tough until they are cycled several times. To help reduce the resistance, I would use some candle wax or similar on the snap contact surfaces. Otherwise, call Galco CS and see what they recommend.

BTW: It's nice to know they make a configuration for the legendary P7.

The Miami Classic is a great holster. I've got three (four if you count the off side "spare" for one rig). No troubles with any of my snaps.

I'd agree with wax of some sort to start (Renaissance wax if you have any, been using that on my Milt Sparks snaps, makes a world of difference!).

Try the wax. If you're still having trouble - call Galco. They will fix it.
