So I bought a NIB unfired Gen4 G26 a few weeks ago. I finally got around to taking it apart to lube it today before I take it to the range, and noticed when I disassemble it, the firing pin is protruding from the channel every time. Maybe I'm a nervous nelly, but is this normal? I have a G42 and this never happens with it.
It also happens when I pull the trigger and then lock the slide to the rear. After I release the slide then retract it again(without pulling the trigger) it's not protruding.
