CleaningAccident,

What a co-inky-dink! I'm ex-Navy (amongst other things,) I live in Florida, and less than 5 minutes ago, I placed my order for a K&D Laredo Defender! :yup:

I went the the brown, so it would match my belt and shoes. How tastefull! Thought about some tooling, but decided against it. After all, it is for concealment, isn't it?

Did add the 3 initials, though. Had to feed the ego something. . . :biggrin2:

No on the belt, that will come later.

Man oh man, I really hate to confess this!

Went to WallyWorld looking for some suitable cover garments. You know, the standard-issue Florida Urban Camo, the Hawaiian print shirt. (Found a nice one, too!)

I knew I needed a different belt, my usual is only an inch wide. While there (I didn't go there looking for a belt, I promise!) I passed by the belt rack and saw a nice basket-weave that was 1 1/2 inch wide, nice and heavy-looking.

Tried it out, it did work much better than my old one. Got to looking at it, then the tag that was on it, and found out it was made in China and its some kind of synthetic something-or-another!

Definately need a belt and as soon as funds can be miss-directed, I'll probably order one up from K&D, as well. :yup:

OK, CA!

After that confession, I must redeem myself.

I'm adding a belt to my holster order. Just can't see hanging one of Kevin's holsters from a synthetic belt that came out of a GreatWalofChinaMart. :nono:

I'm going to try for a tan basket weave, inch-and-a-half. :yup:

There, I feel better already! :biggrin2:

Actually, JerryM was quoting me. (Not that it really matters.)

I had a very pleasant talke with Kevin of K&D, and changed my order from brown to mahogany. Like I told him, only my seldom-worn "dress shoes" are black. All the rest are some form of brown.

Hey, the holster will never be seen, but the belt will!

Lighter colored shirts, untucked and unbuttoned, worn over a darker T shirt or tank top. A darker holster will be less obvious against the under shirt, but a nice black holster might be spotted thru the lighter "cover" shirt.

At least, that's my rationalization.

Basicly, I just really like the looks of that mahogany-died leather. :image035:
