Yesterday I bought a box of Gold Dots and was wondering if anyone has had any experience with them. I am going to the range this week to try them out in my Kahr PM9, XD 9 sc to see how they perform. From what I have read it is pretty good stuff.

I've been very impressed with Gold Dots in .45 and .38, don't have a 9mm though. They have a true bonded core and they seem to feed real well even in thinicky guns. It's also nice to have an optimum load for short barrels, instead of the standard 4" test bbl standard.

I have not tried the short barrel versions but use the std GD +P 124's as my carry in 226.

I have found feed ultra reliable and my tests thru my R9 a while back show the expansion performance to be good and consistent also.

The Speer Gold Dot 124gr +P Short Barrel ammunition is what I carry in My CZ P01. Never had a FTF or FTE. Very accurate. Snappy in a lightweight pistol but very controlable. I use the 134gr +P short barrel load in my S&W 642 snubbie. Stephen Camp did a piece on this load not too long ago. It is on this site. Very informative. Safe Shooting and God Bless.

Thanks a lot for the feedback sounds like a winner. I will try them out at the range on my Kahr PM9, XD 9SC, Sig 239.

I even found a website www.natchezss.com which carries gold dot at a reasonable price.

Been carrying the short barrel loads in my .38 for close to a year and carry them in my .45 Micro as well. Never had a problem, they are a little "snappier" in the recoil dept. then some other rounds but not too bad really.
