Well I had a nice surprise today. I had a call from my LGS that my M&P9c had come in. I was actually at the store earlier but didn't ask because I never would have imagined it would be there. They told me it would be 4-6 before it came in and it was only about a week. So I went back to the store and got my gun. And they also had ammo, so I actually have something to put through it.
I did notice the trigger is gritty, which I didn't notice in the one I who at the range, like several people have said. But a good thing I could notice is it has a clear reset, something I didn't notice in the test gun. So once I got a feel for the trigger I field stripped it, without the tool or pulling the trigger. The guy at the gun shop showed me just using his fingernail on his pinky. So I will have to let my nail out a bit to make it easier. Then I switched the mag release, since I am a lefty. I hope to get out next week to shoot. I can't wait.
Now I am just waiting on my holsters so I can actually carry the gun. I ordered them when I decided on what gun to get. I didn't imagine I would be waiting on the holster. I always thought I would be waiting on the gun to put in the holster.
BTW, For those of you who shoot a M&P9c what is you favorite SD ammo? I picked up some 115g Gold Dots. I think I will pick up a few others to see if I like one better than the other. I just want to know if anyone has had any problems with any ammo.
