The links below portray scenarios that to me are one of the major reasons the founding fathers thought it important to spell out this basic right of the people, namely the right to self defense (2nd amendment) against all threats to your freedom and life, including tyrannical governments and tyrants.

The videos are graphic but if you can stand to watch some of it, it will help rid yourself of any lingering denial that may lay dormant. Even the most informed among us may receive a jolt of realism as to what can happen to people that are made to become defenseless.

It seems to reason that something that has happened before, has more probability of happening again statistically, than something that has never happened before. And since it has happened so often in history the odds are stacked pretty high...

In fact is starts off with this quote: "Those who do not remember the past are condemned to repeat it." -George Santayana

Warning: if you are sensitive to graphic material you may want to know that there are many, many, scenes that can be extremely offensive.

Not quite the thing that most people WANT to see or hear but we must learn from it if we are not to repeat and experience it.

PS: I just finished watching these and found that about midway into Part 5 and all of Part 6 are interviews with the makers of the documentary and they try to explain the message of the documentary. So if you can't watch the documentary at least watch the interviews to get a feel for the message.

May God bless our free and prosperous nation, and may it always remain free!

Every American grade school student has to learn about Paul Revere's ride. What is often not learned is why the Second Amendment says "keep."

The British Army marched out of Boston to Concord to confiscate arms [ powder, shot, and swords, as well are muskets] that were stored in government arsenals by law. That started the war.

To prevent any such event in the future, the new Bill of Rights says "keep and bear" because we have a guaranteed right to keep our arms safe from the government and any restrictions are infringements.

So when some suggest that guns be stored in police stations or "safe places" and checked out for approved uses, those are definitely violations of the right to keep.

"May God bless our free and [formally] prosperous nation, and may it always remain free!"

As they say in New Hampshire, "Live Free or Die" but the motto is getting less respect with all the New Yorker's fleeing NY and bringing the same NY attitudes.

I think that Mr Stevens' comments should have preceded the documentary. It would give the viewer a bit better insight from the beginning of what the greater message was and why this film was made.
The Director's comments should then directly follow the documentary as a recap.
