I've seen this idea before but I just don't like having to use two hands to re-holster my gun.
It's highly possible, especially if you are a LEO that your off hand will be occupied with a suspect while you are trying to re-holster.
I've always taught students that if you need two hands to re-holster then you have the wrong holster.
Also when re-holstering in this manner some people are likely to actually point the muzzle at themselves in an effort to get it back into the slot. I've seen it happen with the thin Uncle Mike's IWB nylon holsters.
So, sorry I have to disagree with this method of carry.
