Do you have a Virginia License To Carry?
You have reciprocity with a goodly number of other states.
Maybe close to 20...I think.

yes i have a non res carry b/c since i'm active duty military my residence is still my shabby gun law state home state NJ. that place is ridiculous you have to have a separate permit for each hand gun u purchase in the state and right now they only approved 3000 res carry permits for a state population of 8 million and if u apply you need a very good reason to need one the majority of the permits out are retired NJ police offices or in the security field or are jewelers or stuff like that.

If you're on military assignment to a state, you probably count as a resident for the purpose of obtaining a permit.

I was stationed in Colorado, with California as my home of record, but qualified for a resident permit from Colorado.

Read the list of states that "honor" your state's license very carefully!

Florida may be listed, but you'll likely find it only recognizes Resident permits, not Non-Resident ones.

Mine is good in va, ky, michigan, and I think Indiana, Idaho and Arizona.

I wish there was reciprocity with north carolina, south carolina and florida. If so, I could have my summer vacation and never have to take off my Glock.
