Just joined today. I'm retired from teaching and owner/operator of a trucking/delivery business. Just recently got back to owning a gun. Sold all my rifles and handguns after getting out of the US Army in 1971. Finally decided to get a gun due to high rate of home burglaries and drug related crimes. Now don't laugh, I bought a NAA minimag w/ 1 5/8ths barrel. I.m using Speer hi-perg gold dot hollow points and winchester Suoer X 40 grain jacketed hollow points.. I know most believe this is not enough for personal protection but I don't believe I'll ever be firing from a distance greater than 7' to 15'.
I'm also into woodworking, knife collecting and older cars and trucks (pre-1974. I look forward to learning from all of you.
