Hi guys and gals, I've been lurking here for quite a while but I just got around to getting my internet fixed to where I can post(the short answer was problem with load balancing router causing me to not be able to login).

Either way just wanted to introduce myself, I'm 28 I've been carrying the last 7 years. My wife and I travel cross country and full time in our motorhome. She is an RN travel nurse and I maintain networks for companies back in our home of Michigan.

I've been playing with making custom holsters for the last year or so, a few fabric(wife used to be a seamstress, ala smart carry) and quite a few leather. Also have a bunch of other hobbies from computers to cars to guns. Generally I carry a Taurus PT145 but it's a bit of a slab and since I've always been a 1911 lover I'm considering picking up a smaller officers 1911 for carry and replace the Taurus.

Well I guess that's enough rambling, look forward to chit chatting with everyone. Also thanks to everyone for this info, this place is a wealth of great info, and that thread showing each persons carry method is absolute genius. I've probably been through that thing a dozen times just looking for new ideas and holsters to build and try.

Oh and anyone wondering I'm a pretty big fan of King of the Hill, my avatar is just something I threw together as a likeness of me.

:bier: from Ga. Welcome to DC...
You know I had read that on here before and it didn't click you were abbreviating DefenseCarry:)

I must be slow, we did a contract in Washington DC and everytime I see DC I get irritated that I'm in the Murder capital and I can't carry my freaking .45, makes more sense now that I get what your meaning by DC.
