Hey guys.....I know Ive been getting slammed on the boards lately about beind behind etc...............

I hope this clears up everything.................

This letter is going on my website very soon.........Im sorry for any Bull**** Ive put you all through! Im human and frankly, right now that part of it sucks!

Thanks, Shoot well and god bless.........

"This is to let you all know where Im at currently and frankly this is probably one of the hardest things Ive done.
I am behind by a fair amount. I have some holsters that are as far out as 7-8 months due to circumstances in my shop, mold rework, materials that are just not that easy to get anymore etc. That happens in the world of holster making from time to time.

But thats isnt the reason for most of the tardiness. I dont want to sound like Im making excuses for anything because I feel like thats a cop out and dont want to come across that way! Frankly, Im not like that, most of you who know me know that to be fact! Anyway, on that note.... here goes.

Things have happened in my life lately that have frankly, blindsided me. My beautiful, sweet wife and kids are now no longer in my life, at least not as they were. I recently got divorced, like many of you have and it has taken its tole on me in a way I didnt and couldnt expect. Its screwed up my production times and the communication with my customers. I cannot apologize for this enough....you all have my personal and professional "IM SO SORRY!" For what its worth, its from the heart!

It pains me greatly to come on the internet and say....."Ive been screwed up because of this, but Im getting better!" I dont air my dirty laundry....but when I took on this job, which I love more than anything Ive ever done, I became a "more public" figure than I had been in the past. Now, where I got my business started and kept it going, on the internet, is where I must state the facts of my situation.

Please, please dont take this as Im making excuses for my being late with your leather and being slow to answer email....that is simply not the case. I am simply letting you know what is going on in my life and business and asking for you patience, faith and most importantly your on going support. I want to keep making holsters for a living and giving you guys some of the best leather I can make!

I am still making holsters/leather to the best of my ability! Im averaging 12-15 a week and will get my back log caught up within 2-3 months. At that time, I should be back to my quoted production time......

If you have leather that is behind....please contact me...Id love to talk with you.
Emails are getting caught up slowly so if you want a quick answer, please call me.

Thank you for your patience, support and understanding and God Bless you all.

Sincerely,
Eric Larsen/HBE"

Eric, thanks for being man enough to admit your mistakes and problems. We all have them, but most of us don't want to admit them. I can identify with how a divorce hits you. I went through one a number of years ago and the effect mentally, emotionally, and physically was unbelievable. It is odd how even the body changes. One week I could skip a day of shaving and no one would notice. Divorce and the next week I have to shave twice a day. Several months down the road I could cut back to once a day. I never got back to the skip a day.

I will add you to my prayer list and will ask the Lord to support you during this time of extra physical stress as you try to catch up and for strength to endure the mental and emotional upheaval that divorce brings. If you ever need someone to just bounce the pain off of send me a PM and I'll give you my number.

Eric - I fully expect most here will readily accept that, and understand. Just telling folks must go a long way towards healing any upsets that have occurred.

I am yet another who ''went thru hell'' - tho in my case that was 20 years ago. Still plenty real tho when I look back and yes - it does screw up life and lead to a spell of problems - one of which is what you have explained.

Hope as things continue to settle, that time and work will gradually ease the pain - I have not been a customer but have admired many examples of your work. Very best of luck to you.

Good luck with your situation! I know it's tough since I'm also a divorcee. Thank you for "coming clean" with us, your past, present and/or future clientle. I for one, will continue to be a customer of yours and tout your work (with photos) to whomever will listen.

God bless and (again) good luck!

Eric I am not a customer of yours but I have gone through what you are going through right now. My divorce was 8 years ago but the thoughts in my head is like it was yesterday. you telling everyone whats going on is something I couldn't do to move on. I lost 2 jobs not being able to staighten things out. I feel you are a better man than I.

Just Hang In There Eric

Nobody will slam you on CombatCarry.

Things will work out for you.
Must be extremely tough for you to have to tell your valued customers something like that.

You always treated everybody so fairly & so politely that I'm positive that most (if not all) will understand your unusual situation.

Take Care Eric.

i'll bet almost everybody will understand and be patient, if they have orders placed with you.

By the way, Eric, lest you think that the pain ever goes completely away I can tell you there is always that prick that happens. You see your daughter and realize how much of her life you missed and can never give her those days back. You see your son and regret the baseball you didn't get to play. There are other things too. I've dealt with those things now for over 29 years. Yesterday when my son call me to wish me a happy father's day, I wondered how things in his life might have been different if his mother had never left. The one thing that helps is that I know the One who is in control and He does better work than I do.

Hang in there and I'm serious about letting me know if you just need to vent. I'm a pretty good listener and I've been there.

Hey Eric,
I've been there myself. No one can understand how it totally screws up every facet of your life - unless they've been thru it themselves.
I am proud of you for coming here and sharing your circumstances. That took some guts.
Hang in there - it will get better.

Eric,
I'd heard about your situation thru the grapevine.
Hold your head up and take care of yourself.
Wishing you the best and hope you're back in the swing of things before long.
