Hi everyone, glad to join the forum. I'm a long time shooter, and have had my permit here in Colorado for long enough to need renewals. I've carried several different model handguns. Carried an LCR for a while, then now I swap between a Colt Gov't 380 for "light days" and just a full size 1911 others.
I love talking to folks about getting their permit and carrying enough that I finally even wrote a book about advice for carry for beginners. I really hope folks that read it get something useful out of it. A ton of the advice I have was accumulated over years of reading forums and talking to others about what works and what doesn't.
I also wrote Shot Works Pro, inventory software for your firearms/ammo/etc that's kept highly encrypted for security. I have a customer, a well known gun author, who has over 1300 firearms stored in his copy.
