Denver's 4/20 rally marked by a shooting and record attendance | The Daily Caller
4/20 was the day I realized just how messed up our legal system is here in CO. Smoking pot in large quanities and openly breaking the law? NO PROBLEM MAN! You wanna carry a gun in town? NOPE! Hickenlooper killed that idea by banning open carry in town!
Seriously, how is it that they get to look the other way when it comes to pot but with guns I feel like I am persecuted as an individual beause I worship some 'tool of death'?
Pot is legalized with these exceptions:
1. Cannot be smoked in public
2. Must be 21 to buy or be in posession.
3. Cannot be in posession of 1 oz. or more.
So let me get this straight,
The police had about 10,000 people all in one area, smoking in plain sight in a public venue right in front of the capitol building, and didn't issue a single ticket? I saw no one being ID'd, no one even remotely concerned about being ticketed. Most events in public areas at least require a liquor license with set boundaries, but I guess pot gets a free pass. I checked it out because I had never seen an event like this before and I figured it to be over-hyped but I was so very very wrong. Thousands of stoners everywhere! I felt like I was on that one episode of South Park with the Hippie Jam Festival!!! Anyways, I saw lots and lots of police, on horses, bikes, sitting in squad cars and even just walking around. Here's what else I saw: teenagers, kids, babies in strollers and carriers. I can't even begin to imagine the sheer stupidity of these parents who brought their kids and babies to this poor excuse of an event. People rage about second hand smoke and its harmful qualities but these people are content to sit with their kids in a literal cloud of smoke visible from HELICOPTERS IN THE AIR!
Hell at this rate Hickenlooper won't even need to ban guns since no one in the state will be eligible to own one since everyone will have a marijuana card!
