My newest acquisition was for sale on a local forum for a couple months. I kept seeing it bumped to the top with no interest. I was intrigued but knew little about HK pistols beyond my short stint with a VP9 that I didn't care for and sold. I did a bunch of research on it and saw a lot of mixed reviews. Mostly about the trigger. I finally couldn't resist any longer and picked it up after work last Friday. When I was inspecting it prior to the sale I dry fired it a couple times and to my surprise the trigger, to me, felt a lot like the Omega trigger in the CZ P07 I used to have (loved the trigger on the CZ, hated the HUGE controls). I handed over my cash and went home a happy man. I dry fired it quite a bit over the coarse of the weekend to get used to the DA/SA trigger and Euro mag release. I got to the range on Monday and had a blast with it. I fired it side by side with my current EDC Gen4 Glock 19 and was just as accurate right out of the gate. Accuracy will surely get better as I familiarize myself with the pistol. It also has less perceived recoil & muzzle flip to me. No issue with first shot placement in DA or followup shots in SA. I put 80 rounds of Perfecta 115gr FMJ, 100 rounds of Freedom Munitions 124gr FMJ & 50 rounds of Federal HST 147gr JHP through it without issue. Once I receive my Knightfall Customs AIWB it will be my new EDC, dethroning the Gen4 G19 (for now).

Congrats!!

Positively my favorite HK.

IF you decide to change out springs, or maybe try out the LEM modification give HK Customer service a chance when ordering parts. Unlike the old saying: "HK: Because you suck and we hate you". The CS guys are really very. very, good when ordering parts and they're significantly cheaper than some of the aftermarket guys. .

Congrats on your P2000, great little gun from what I hear. I have not shot the P2000 but have shot other Hk's and they are great.

Congrats! I searched and searched for my first handgun and fell in love with the USP Compact so I bought a P2000 (v2 9mm) and love it. Great size and performance.

I recently had to choose between a P2000 and a P229. I settled on the P229 and love it, but dang the P2000 feels good in my hand.

I'm sure I'll own one eventually.

I tried the P229 but went with the P2000. Both are excellent. Actually found a CZ PCR and it felt really good as well...so many quality pistols out there, so little money.

The CZ PCR is on my short list. I regret ever selling my P01.
