While a Philadelphia home invader was holding two victims at gunpoint, one of them managed to reach his own firearm and shot the thug in the head.

Once inside, police say the suspect ordered the 21-year-old man and another 29-year-old man inside the house to sit on the couch, holding them at gunpoint and continuing to demand money.

A struggle ensued over the gun, and while the 21-year-old man struggled with the suspect, the other tenant was able to retrieve a handgun and approach the suspect.

At that point, police say the suspect held the 21-year-old at gunpoint, and the armed tenant fired his weapon once, striking the suspect in the head.

The suspect was taken to Aria Torrsedale hospital in critical condition

If one in the head does not render them harmless you need to either consider a better caliber or better criminals.

Any supposition at this point is mere second-guesswork, but methinks this may support the adage that If one is good, two are even better - an ode to the double-tap.
