Sorry to hear of this, Scott.
Very sad tonight. Rosie the Wunderdog has lymphoma. She is 14 and has a Vet appointment in the morning. I'm afraid it may be her time. She's at my side now. A wonderful companion.

Big brother (2+yo) sits and watches over the both of us while CWO is at work, Jimbo does what we got him to do! Every time I go to take a shower he will sit outside the door, not sure how he knows to do what he does but am glad he took over his intended roll. Another sweet pup, he’s very gentle with the smaller dog.

Anyone that says losing a pet gets easier as you get older is full of it. I'm just as raw today as I was 50 years ago when I lost my first dog.
Amen!

Scotty I’m so sorry, when we lost Daisy it felt awful, the house died with her it seemed. We were going to wait but...the best thing we could do after it happened was give a home to another of Gods critters that is stuck and waiting to be loved. The next best thing we did was get another one. We are both glad we didn’t wait, it helped the both of us with grief.

Don’t have a picture of her babies yet, gosh they are too cute! She brought them by yesterday. Dixie is young, the camera on the ipad is amplified so not as close as it looks....I think lol.

Hope to get a pic of the babies soon, she didn’t bring them today.

@Sister she's so cute! If you touch her or her poop, dishes, etc wash with strong soap. There's an organism that lives in raccoon gut, that's harmless to her because it stays in her gut. In humans, that organism doesn't know where to go, so it goes to your brain, eyes and other places that can severely affect you. I don't remember the name of it but my vet gave me this info when I was discussing the cute critters that come into my yard sometimes. That being said, I'd love to see a picture of her babies.. They must be precious! . Update : I sent you a PM with further info and the name of the organism

The coon babies were brought by today when their mother came to have dinner. The water cooler put back there for them had small paw prints in the bottom when it was cleaned so one of the little one’s went for a swim! CWO looked out and said they were all over playing on the cooler. They stay in the tree when their mom is eating, only saw 3 today not 4 but hope the other one is hiding. Got pics! 😃
