In my case it wouldn't go over well since she's not into firearms. I know because the last time I bought her a pair of size 10 golf shoes she wasn't impressed...she's not into golf either, but the shoes fit me perfect.

Since choice of a gun is so personal (only that individual knows what they like best--and that only after shooting a variety of guns), I will not yet be ready for that choice. However, I would be delighted to assist in any way that I can as the process of finding the "just right" gun for my very special wife.

Only if it is a piece of jewelry with a gold/silver gun trinket attached to it.

Already have.....found some extra ammo and a laser for her Glock 17.....if that doesn't work then her "home shopping" trip on QVC and HSN last night will have done the trick (that crying sound you hear is my wallet).

Nope not here...she a staunch 2A supporter but has no interest in owning a firearm. I did think about a tactical pen for her purse which she said she would be open to. But as of right now...it's books and waffle maker for this Mother's Day for her. Romantic right?!

Hmmmmm, Maybe a nice Sig P210 legacy that I been saving up for. She would appreciate the totally selfless nature of the gift and would want me to gently and lovingly test it for her, clean it, and generally admire the quality of her "treasure" every time I take it to the range to make sure it still functions flawlessly in case she needs to shoot it.

I think it's very nice that you guys are thinking about buying your wives a gun for Mother's Day. It shows that you care about her safety and well-being - and your children too.

And for God's sake, whatever you do, don't ever buy your wife a lawnmower. I got one for Mother's Day once upon a time - and, well, the rest is history.

But I've still got the lawnmower and it runs like a champ!

She is still very new to shooting and is not particularly an enthusiast. So, I bought her a kayak so we can go paddle together and not have to borrow one.

Well last night at the gun auction I bought her a pretty 38 s&w J frame bright pink Pacmeyer grips, airweight, she always carried a old 38 her father gave her 30 years ago, now she can retire it ,
