The grit and tenacity of these men defy comprehension. They are giants, and they walk among us. RIP brave soldier.

“The prisoner, having reached the depth of his depression, gradually reawakens to the life around him. He licks himself and his wounded pride, opens his eyes, and finds that far away on the horizon there is still a ray of sunlight left.”

I served in Vietnam from 67-68 and again 70-71. Being a POW always was in the back of my mind. My mind set was to save the last bullet for myself. Don't know if I could do it or survived being captured. Very happy I did not have to find out. I am honored to call him Brother and may he rest in peace. To many people in this country do not understand the sacrifice so many gave.
