I remember when the Glock first came out. It got bad press back then. Folks were saying people would be sneeking them past metal detectors at airports. I think us older guys that grew up with revolvers and 1911s still believe that is the way guns should look. I don't find anything pretty about a Glock. They work. They make a gun to suit about any need. The price is right. I have two Glocks and will likely get another. I don't particularly like the way a Glock looks. They do have some features that I don't like. I guess I will just have to say they are pretty on the inside.
I must agree with you as far as Glocks looking ugly but, I have a G19 and it performs flawlessly. To counteract the ugliness of my Glock I have a 1911 Kimber Crimson Pro Carry II. All I have to do is take it out of the safe, look at it and it resets my attitude.

Guns are like women...there's no such thing as an ugle one...they are ALL beautiful, it's just that some are more beautiful than others.:image035:
I used to hate Glocks, now I think that they are a piece of 'art'...fit the hand perfectly, flawless mechanical devices that can always be depended upon to defend your life.:comeandgetsome::king::yup::hand10:

How to make a Glock loog good:

Sell it and buy a REAL gun,

Nothing beats a SIGSAUER!!

--bring on the bashing!!!--

Glocks are beautiful in operation, performance and reliability.

Just like the Hulk, not much to look at, but when he saves your ***** you'll give him a big hug

glocks weren't made to be aesthetically pleasing. they're simple tools who's sole purpose is to keep you alive.

Undercutting the trigger guard makes the compact Glocks feel a whole lot better in the hand, and rounding out the front of the trigger guard goes a long way in making the gun look better. I've never cared for those ugly, "hooked" European trigger guards.

I thought they were ugly 20 years ago. They've grown on me since then. Not beautiful like a nice custom 1911 or BHP but attractive in a simplistic way.

A Glock pistol.....in and of itself is a work of art. It just depends from where you're looking. Personally, I think the Glock pistol is simply beautiful. Some will have to look with intent to see it. Is beauty a superficial ideal? Or does the thought of beauty demand a deeper thought into what our ideals really are to see it? Way I see it, you can either have a quick fixation on what you want now, or you can accept that what you need has little to do with outward appearances. It's the love that counts.....dependability, reliability....knowing your Glock is in your hand unconditionally, and that you both always remain faithful to each other, knowing you work together well, only portrays a sense of completeness which you could never find elsewhere. How do you make a Glock better looking? Love....it brings out the best in everything.

Seconds on the chrome...

I also subscribe to adding some chrome to make a Glock look better. Both my G23 and my G19 have hard chrome slides.

whats that saying?...... "beauty is only skin deep"

I dunno, maybe it is my ignorance showing, but I LOVE the way my glocks look. No frills, efficient, sleek...... like the dobermann of guns.

I still think the full size Glocks are ugly, but the compacts and sub-compacts have grown on me.

whats that saying?...... "beauty is only skin deep"
"......BUT.....UGLY.....goes clean to da bone!!"
It is also written: "Beauty is in the eye of the beholder...."
When I "behold" a Glock, I see "beauty".....that I can count on to offer personal protection and long-lasting reliability.......
Hey! I just described my WIFE!!!:image035:
Levity aside.....each person has his own opinion on what is "beautiful" and what is "ugly".....You think Glocks are BEAUTIFUL? Great!
You think they're UGLY? OK by me!
To each his own....it's what makes the world go 'round!

I love my Glocks.
Don't really care how they look.
I care that they function reliably.
That's their real beauty.

you either like the way they look or dont...I really am neutral they are not bad but also not good but they work. Id just as soon have my Ruger SR9compact that I traded in the Glock for..works just as welll so far after a good cleaning and looks better :) . plus its thinner.

If you don't like the look of your Glock then sell it and get a gun you like the look of.

Personally I don't like the way they look, feel, or shoot. So I did not buy one.
