Semi-retired (mainly because of the dot-com implosion and the ill-advised scramble to send programming work offshore), I mainly play rock & country music and am a substitute teacher at a local high school.
I've been into firearms since I was a kid; my old man - long since passed on - shared his love of sports, including hunting, and taught many good lessons regarding gun safety. He praised my correct actions in this area, and severely punished my mistakes. I now have a bunch of his sporting rifles and shotguns, plus several of my own.
A quote from Admiral Yamamoto, Japanese Fleet Admiral ("It is impossible to invade America. There would be a gun behind every blade of grass.") pretty much sums up my attitude.
