The view from an archery blind this evening. From left to right is white oak forest, to brushy forest edge and wild persimmon trees (dropping sweet fruit… ate a couple today already, yum!), food plot blend of winter rye, radishes, beets, and clover, with the farmer’s ready to harvest soy bean field to the right.

Watched a 8 pointer meander from the far right, over 150 yards away, to within 75 yards, but didn't get within bow range before dark. Will let this spot rest a few days and try again.

What scenery do the rest of you enjoy while hunting? Feel free to share pics.

Spike elk hunting yesterday. Had one cross in front of the truck on the road 15 minutes before shooting light. Never could find him after we parked.

The rut is on here. I live on the edge of the city and see a lot of deer. Mostly does and fawns with the occasional yearling buck. This morning I saw a nice 8 pointer chasing a doe.

It was just a 2 1/2 year old buck, but still, the biggest I've seen this fall.

In the middle of moving, but hoping to get out some. Even if it’s only small game. 😎

Tracks look older than 24 hours. Time enough passed for debris to fall into them. Maybe 24 - 48 hours?

Some were probably older than 24 hours, but some were almost certainly within the previous 24. There were tracks all over the place. The animals had been through there, we just couldn't find them.

Photos make it tough but one of those animals was looking left when it passed thru.
