I was a teenager in the 60s. Yes, we had civil rights demonstrations and protests against the war, but we didn't have anything that went on for months. We didn't have people calling for the defunding the police and dismantling of police departments. We didn't have police and civilians being beaten and killed. We didn't have major corporations donating money to a Marxist organization. We didn't have a major political party that is openly communist and wants to do away with America as we know it. The closest thing we've had were the riots following the Rodney King verdict. All the current unrest is just rough spot in the road that we'll get past in the coming months.
And for those of us with lucid memories of the riots in the 60s, this is like playing patty-cakes in comparison. Don't let blabbering politicians and over-hyping media get you all out of sorts.
We're gonna be OK. Especially when this damn C19 loosens its grip, which should be in the next year when a vaccine becomes widely available.
This is a whole different situation.
