Try the Glock M27. I'll bet you like it better than the M23. Best of all, M22 and M23 mags work just as well and you can even get spacers for a seamless grip on the extended mags.

Thanks for the advice, and while I do like the G27, I think the G19/23/32 is the perfect size and best Glock design by far. The G27 is nice but I prefer service sized handguns.

Glock Paste

Remember when you field strip & clean your new Glock Toys NOT to remove that "special factory paste" that Glock factory lubes your firearm with.
Does GLOCK still put that "Do Not Remove Paste" on their N.I.B. firearms?

Congrats on the new pistols. One of my gunsmiths has a saying and please do not take this as Glock bashing but here it is, "The only plastic that should come anywhere near a pistol is a credit card"

The problem with that statement is that so many other pstols are now jumping onto the ideas of incorporating plastic into the frames. Look at the Springfield Armory XD series. Walther & Smith and Wesson's joint enterprise resulting in the new Smith P99? It's starting to make Glock look like a ground breaker in the field. What about the H&K USP series? A lot of SpecOps overseas are using these guys where the standard bearer used to be the venerable Bowning Hi-Power. Just a thought.

ExSoldier, my Para's (3x) all came with plastic MSH's so I hear and feel you. That was rectified though.

Welcome to the Dark Side! (or did you get a green one?)
Nah, I'm a black/black guy when it comes to sidearms.

Picked up and fired the guns Friday, and man am I impressed. I had thought about swapping the stock sights for night sights but now I don't think I will as I like the standard post/outline sights. Wonderful weapon...I'm glad I picked it up.

Thanks for all the kind words folks.

Just sold my old G23 and picked up a new 3rd gen....mucho nice! It compliments my almost new G27...I paid $459.00 for the 27 and the same for the 23. Just had Meprolight night sites ($65) installed on the 23..and have had em on the 27 for about 3-4 months.

He wouldn't approve of my tastes lol. All three of my pistols (SIG Pro, USP, G23) have polymer frames.
