Dang.
A friend lent me his Springfield Ultra Compact for a review for Concealed Carry Magazine. As soon as we started "testing it" it was jamming like crazy. I sent it back for examination and it came back working flawlessly. I carried it around a bit... Carries very nice. Very very nice indeed. And the holster held it close and hidden with no problem. Awesome carry package.
It shot great. Carried great. And it was accurate as all get out.
Well, yesterday I had to give it back.
I miss the thing already.

A great gun, to be sure... but the Ultra Compact is as far as small 1911's go - "just right". I shall have to get one for myself. The only problem I have is that I've no longer got any gun that I am willing to part with. At least for now. And too many expenses to allow for a new aquisition otherwise.

64 bit processors, DDR 400, pocket PC devices, a new cell phone.... man, I'm tapped.
