I went shopping with my wife this afternoon. I noticed several people open carrying. Much more than I normally see.

While I was sitting in Texas Roadhouse with SWMBO a guy open carrying walked in and sat down and the question occurred to me "If I had to choose between Open Carry and No Carry what would I pick?"

The uniform takes away any concept of concealment anyway. I open carried in a security guard uniform for A decade.

Interesting question. While I feel that concealed carry is an advantage over open carry, I certainly wouldn't disarm my self over that choice.

I don't have a handgun that I couldn't conceal in some fashion or other. If CC was illegal but open carry was legal - then open carry it would be. I would not voluntarily go unarmed.

Just speaking for myself based on MY experience open carry has caused more problems than it solved.

I've open carried for security jobs, that I wasn't wearing uniform. I "do what needs to be done, when "I" assess it's prudent. I've not been "unarmed" since: "not sure of some specific date". Didn't vote.

If the question is the scenario from OP I open carry
there ares enarios I or most people legally can not carry in any manner so I do not
I prefer Concealed yet have open carried for some jobs for the visibility.
