I stumbled (happily) onto this site while looking for gear advice and decided it would be a great club to join. With little time for real life friends, it looks like I have to rely on the internet. Sad isn't it ? But convenient, if I don't want to hang out today or don't have time. I have passions for good food, good beer, Alabama Crimson Tide football, fixing things and guns. I have had quite a few firearms throughout my life and it took the first 7 years of my marriage to convince my wife to even allow one in the house (she got a great job on the bad side of town). We are both Georgia CC licensed and she carries a LCR and I recently sold my Springer SC40 because I just couldn't stand the trigger making my finger hurt anymore. So for now I just have my home defense Mossberg 500 chainsaw which I modified a little with a Mako flashlight forend grip, Blackhawk Specops II stock, tritium front bead and a couple Kabar knives on the end for intimidation/cool factor and nobody is grabbing the muzzle. Even though it is not CC, I hope you don't mind if I share before and after pics and thanks for having me :)

Welcome to the forum! I love 500s, as I currently have more than a few of them!

With all due respect, I think the 'chainsaw' configuration is an abomination and sales gimmick. That said, enjoy!
Actually, my wife (for whom I bought the recoil suppressing stock for) the chainsaw handle is the only way she can hold it. The ridiculous sharp barrel has no purpose though unless Bandaid is a sponsor because I have had to use them because of it.

Welcome from Texas! I'm not crazy about the Chainsaw, but the "sharp" barrel is a breaching barrel. It's for jamming up against a lock. You will more than likely NEVER use it for that. Enjoy it anyway!
