Saw this a while back and thought it might be a good idea. Anyone have any experience with these? I'm thinking about getting one, but I'd like to know if it'll be a good alternative to the cover garments I use now before I get one.

No experience with 'em, but it looks like a pretty good hot weather cover garment :hand10:
They look pretty nice - semi tailored, and a longer tail on them. The only drawback is the polyester at 65% - quite a bit hotter than 100% cotton.

Edited to add: Welcome, Cougar!
And it's your first post here...welcome aboard :hand36:

That's a pretty good link...lots of different gear available :hand10:
5.11 makes a real good one almost the same , never tryed the one you showed but i have the 5.11 ones and like them alot.
Doesn't Look to bad for a cover Garment cost isn't bad

im Guessing your ordering from Israeli?? Getting it might be a problem ..
No Problem with my order.

I ordered 2 of these and go them in about 8 days after order. They came airmail from Tel Aviv. I ordered mine from www.israelmilitary.com

I really like them as summer cover garments as I am not a vest guy. They look great over a T shirt either buttoned or un-buttoned.

Very good quality, and they "do up well" as my wife says.

rnf: Thanks for the link. That may become my new favorite web-store. My "Israel: Uzi Does It" t-shirt needs company! LOL!!! (It was a gift from a friend who is a Rabbi.)

Randy, how is the sizing? I read some references on other boards and they seemed to indicate that the sizing ran small. One said that he could not move his shoulders in a large yet large was what he bought for cover garments usually. Another said he had an XL and that it fit like an L. What is your experience?

Thats Good To know I've heard getting stuff from over seas was hit or miss that why i said the Above
Thanks for the analysis, guys. I've been going back and forth about whether to order one. I think I'm going for it.
These are tailored and do run a bit smaller than I am used to. I normally wear a L, but XL in these fit me better. Now If I had the washboard stomach, the sizing would be great, but the L is a little tight on my Dunlap disease!

On the Zahal website did I see that they carry their weapons in the L chest position, with the butt sticking out for everyone to see?
i don't see that big a difference in these and an untucked shirt....
with the exception of a straight cut tail....

The only real difference I see, and I experience the same thing with an unbuttoned guayabera, is that the pockets at the bottom keep the jacket/shirt from blowing or falling open. The extra weight of the pockets help keep the touching you. If more weight is needed just put an extra magazine in the pocket. I don't often wear the guayabera unbuttoned, but the first thing I noticed when I did was that the stayed in place better than a regular shirt.

Diddo; I just bought 2.:danceban:
Those are some sweet looking shirts for just about any method of carry. I'll have to throw a couple of those into the budget.
Hmmmmmmmm...a lot better than a fishing vest...could come in handy at work!
