I walked into my lgs to pick up a knife that they had on sale(customer appreciation/4th of July sale). While waiting to be served(they already had lines) I walked around and looked in the cases. They had 2 Walther PPQ M pistols in 9mm. I made the mistake of handling one. Well, long story short, I am now the proud owner of a Walther PPQ M. Any suggestions for holsters and where to find more magazines?

Congrats on a sweet gun!

Galco, Crossbreed, SHTF, etc... for holsters. Internet for magazines.

I try to get guns to follow me home all the time. I whistle at 'em. I pat my legs and encourage them to head this way. I think the stern looks coming from the accounting department must dissuade them because they rarely seem to end up here!

Congrats on the new pistola!

I have only seen one in the wild in .40, had it been a 9mm it would have come home. Well designed pistol, awesome trigger, nice ergonomics and they improved them for the non-Euro marked with a standard mag release. Not that I think the original was a bad design, but every other gun I own uses a push button mag release and trying to dump a mag under duress with the Walther/HK lever wouldn't be intuitive. Congrats on your new pistol, but pics are needed; preferably an action shot of you breaking her in.

Very easy on this forum, you don't even need a hosting site. Reply to this thread as you usually would, click the third box over from the right, (the picture of a tree), it will bring up a window and you will click on "from your computer", choose the pic, click "upload" in that box, then post reply as usual.

I have the .40 :p And I picked mine up the same way the op picked his up. Was just looking at things and made the mistake of picking it up in the shop lol. It was like, "oh my effing heck" <--- not the "exact" words I said to myself :p I basically then walked to the counter and told them to take my danged money!

I'm sure you will enjoy your PPQ.

For a holster get a MaxTuck from White Hat Holsters you can change out the kydex anytime if you switch your carry guns.

White Hat Holsters... gun gear for the GOOD guys!

Call Walther. I called to ask a question and place an order...they sent 2 free mags. In case you didn't know, the P99 mags fit the PPQ.

I love mine in .40 ;) I use a IMI single point retention holster for mine, OWB. IMI-Z1350-Walther PPQ Polymer Retention Holster

Crossbreed can make IWB, I know more options are becoming available for it too.

Couple handy things to know: Most P99 mags will work in the Walther. Most sites (like XS sites) that are marked for the P99 will also work in the PPQ.

That phenomenon doesn't just happen with guns. About a year ago, I took my Triumph Thunderbird to the dealer for servicing. While waiting, the sales manager says, "You want to ride the new BMW 1600 GTL? I've got one ready to roll." This is a new design, in-line 6 cylinder, 160hp, throttle-by-wire, adaptive headlight, traction control.... So I think that sounds a lot more fun than just sitting, so I say, "sure". Guess what is now in my garage - the most expensive "puppy" that has ever followed me home. And I love it!!

Favorite gun in my collection. I use an RKBA leather iwb. I bought mags locally, you may want to check on your specific model but I know Some people are running baby desert eagle mags on their ppq with good results. They're the same and 15-20 dollars cheaper
Also the Walther forums are a great resource.
