You might think that someone running for a public office might take the time to actually become informed on the topics of interest...

Just one more example of #StaggeringIgnorance

The Congress and Senate is now the largest pool of Staggeringignorance in the entire world. I used to think it was the U.N. but they lost that coveted title about 5 years ago.

Actually, I think it calls for this:

Well,

Stupid is as stupid does... or something like that...

Doesn't matter she'll win... all the folks in the vacant crack houses in her opponents ad will vote for her...
Representatives are no longer chosen based on merit. They're chosen based on their willingness to blindly support an agenda.

The administration could put their marketing machine behind Kim Jong Un, and get him elected to the senate.

The fact that bloomberg and obama are endorsing and supporting her should be reason enough to vote against her for more reasons than just gun control.

I would not want to be one of his doubles. ..... .. Just put a target on my head
Our politicians are just as dangerous as the criminals out on street. Maybe more so, as they have our money at there disposal to use against us.
Another huge FAIL.

I consider them to be more dangerous, after all their actions last for decades.

Why should they start now? Staggering Ignorance has worked just fine for them so far.
Unfortunately, I believe it is far more complex than that, and is therefore a much larger and more difficult challenge. Over the past two generations we have experienced large numbers of people who have shifted further and further away from the middle, and neither side is willing to concede that the other has any value. This is pure ideology, hardened by several decades of defiance and self-righteousness on both sides of the fence. Just look at how dysfunctional Congress is as evidence of that.

Civil unrest of the 1960's that started shifting our core values, and a backlash in psychiatry that (IMO) ultimately led to many of the problems we see today. The 1970's saw a shift to Government regulation and a "collective mentality." Reagan changed a lot of that, but that also lead to the type of divisiveness and great ideological divide we see today. Republicans believe in nearly full independence and self-reliance. They believe that everyone has the same opportunities – even if you don't have the same start to life, and ultimately you get what you earn / deserve. It can be harsh at times and often appears as selfish. On the other hand, Democrats believe that we are all here to help each other, and therefore those with more should help those with less (hence the "socialism" label given to many of their initiatives). People are more interested in categorizing and labeling than they are in trying to really understand their opposition. And, there are many other related contributing factors (healthcare, psychotropic medicines, frivolous lawsuits over everything, poverty and homelessness, etc.) that worsen the overall situation.

So, the starting points for each side are already very far apart, and efforts like we've seen from the Democrats since December only serve to pull each side further apart. If the Democrats took an honest look inward at their strongholds, especially large urban areas, they would see how violent gangs, illegal drugs, and government corruption and waste are the root cause of many problems. Then they could focus on changes that made a real impact, but that would require the acknowledgment of past errors in policy and in acceptance of personal responsibility and accountability. That's an awful large gap to bridge, and ultimately could impact their standing amongst their most loyal constituents.

It would be nice if this was just a matter of providing more / better information, but it seems much deeper than that to me.

Far too many representatives are mere marionettes.
Calling people stupid is a poor substitute for countering their false claims with facts. The Aurora theater was a gun-free zone, apparently something no one mentioned to this particular Bloomberg-endorsed Chicago politician.
A blithering jewel of ignorance. But the real question is who is the bigger fool? Degettes or the court jesters that voted her in to office. Rhetoric at it's finest.
