And I'm thinking about night sights for the 1911 but I can't seem to find any company that makes sights for the Military Specs. Any suggestions?

Have you tried Meprolight. Not sure if they have them for Springfield but I Have them on my Kimber and I love them. Some guys I know wish they had them instead of the ones they currently use.

I know someone makes them in a Stake on sight or you could get slide milled for dovetails

I believe most night-sight makers "lump" Springfield 1911's into the Colt category.

+ 1 for Novaks , I had them put NS on my SIG.
You can just ship them the slide.

OR - Trijicon has a NS set for Colt pistols ( CA01) that will
work on springfields IF the front sight hole in the slide
is made slightly larger.
