I made a few mistakes but since it's a camo gun the really blend in. (pun intended)

Nice job, just be careful if you set it down in the woods, you may not be able to find it again.

I thought you were a farmer?

But, very nice.................. I have to get a life and start actually working on them again, instead of owing them.............. envy.

Oh, and don't hunt with the door it is leaning against. That really clashes.

What kind of paint did you use? I was thinking of painting a couple of my guns, but am afraid of screwing something up.

I have seen kits at Wal-Mart for painting guns usually in late summer or fall.

I just used spray paint and followed the instructions here:

http://www.defensivecarry.com/forum...un-discussion/147677-painting-rifles-how.html

I think it turned out OK but it could be better. Next time I will put more detail into my patterns.

Nice paint job.

I might be dense, but who is this Jon you keeping referring to?
Jon is a wise and mysterious wizard who is the keeper of all AR15 knowledge.

A few more (and better) pics of the finished product.

I think it will do. Not bad for my first try.

Like I said, I wish I'd have made the cut outs more detailed. ^^^^^ this photo shows what I'm talking about

It's not supposed to be pretty, it's supposed to be hard to see in the woods and I think I've accomplished that.

I like it timmy. Looks like some good, smooth transitions in there. Nice job!

You just turned a "hunting gun" into an "assault weapon." Expect a visit from Bloomturd...
