Easy one...if it's a Democrat/ Liberal cause, it's a "peaceful demonstration"
If it's a Republican/ Conservative cause, it's a "riot". If no violence occurs, it's called "far right demonstration".

The media will do it whether we let them or not. If a person tries to get the truth out, Big Tech can cancel them.

These are complicated times...hard to know what to do.
but who cares what they think? Letting them decide whether what we do is ok or not just shows them that they are right.

Do you believe that these demonstrations being advocated will become anything less than riots if useful idiots do indeed show up armed?
What’s the saying, an armed society is a polite society? Or is 2A just a fallacy?

It's a quote from a work of science fiction. We live in the most heavily-armed society in human history. No, we are not a polite society.

It seems like a no-win situation. If we show how serious we are about protecting our rights, we lose because we get demonized with whatever spin the MSM and liberals decide to use. If we don't go protest and stay home, we lose since it sends the message "we don't really care about our rights" and that the liberal agenda is the right way to go. People could go to the event but make sure you keep your gun holstered and concealed (if legally allowed to do so). But the AR's and AK's should be left at home. We could all take the safe course and contact our reps but the optics of thousands protesting could be a more powerful show of what we want. A lot will depend on how the media presents the protest, also. We have to do what we think is right no matter what, but without any violence. Just my opinion.
Why would anyone leave the ARs and AKs at home when going into battle?

Maybe you haven’t been to any “unarmed” places. People typically don’t like to get shot but if you are helpless they might hit you with a skateboard.

I hope it won't end up being a shooting war. If you're just making a statement through numbers, why inflame the situation? Just my recommendation. There probably will be people that will show up with them anyway. So, I guess my opinion doesn't count.

I've been to lots of unarmed places. I feel much safer in Jerusalem empty-handed than I do in Detroit heavily armed.

Hope for the best, plan for the worst. This is why I'm staying home during the chest-thumping-monkey-dancer portion of the show.

Probably more legally armed people in Jerusalem than Detroit.

The problem is we can't control what the Left does to disrupt and then Conservatives always take the blame.

Anyone going armed to any gathering, no matter how legal it is to be armed, is in extreme jeopardy if anyone from the Left is there.
Much like the reaction to the Twin Peaks shooting by LEOs in Texas a few years ago. EVERY motorcycle rider wearing colors was being arrested, even if not from the event.

The Democrats, socialists, communists, MSM, deep state, and the swamp people see the recent national election and the Georgia runoff election as an excuse to drive stakes in the hearts of conservatives. Their rules of engagement is wining at all costs, whatever it takes.

The conservative's rules of engagement are play by the rules, be nice, and respect other's views.

I have attended many Second Amendments protests at the State Capitol in the past with zero problems. Since the recent election, I will stay far away from the protests and ready.

Extremists scare me, especially ones that are on my side.

I think staying away from protests is a good idea in general. What does it gain besides press coverage, and who in the press would give it anything but negative coverage?

Not attending a protest does not mean you do not take a side in the protest.
Don't attend if you feel unsafe about it. But make sure you do not get apathetic and just accept whatever happens.
Reminds me of a quote by Elie Wiesel a holocaust survivor and author.
"Always take sides. Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor never the tormented."
Make sure your voice is heard somehow if not at a protest or a rally.

That's because those carrying the arms, at least in a great majority of the urban centers where politeness is most needed, aren't necessarily the one't that you want to be armed. And the one's whom would assist in increasing politeness aren't "allowed" to be armed there. Once you get outside of city limits, things usually are reversed.

Where are you coming up with this stuff?

I don't know, I just figured that I was stating the obvious. How many "law abiding citizens" are allowed to carry on a daily basis in a city like Chicago or New York or Los Angeles etc,? Versus how many gangbangers who carry regardless?
How many "law abiding" citizens would much rather not wind up in prison vs how many gangbangers, who probably wouldn't like it but at least are assured of having a support system inside?
Of those two groups, which do you think would be more likely to be polite as a matter of course?
Shall I go on?

Especially if you are leaving your gun at home.
Funny before all this crap we would say that most of us would never go to any business or venue that would not allow us to carry.
Now we are advocating that we leave our guns at home. They got us all knotted up don't they.
I do not now nor have I ever advocated for that, carry everywhere, be developing skills always.
