Very cool. Probably a dumb question..but, what is it?

I'm just starting to research rifles. I'd like to get/build one in the spring. Do you have a favorite "brand" that I should consider as a base? So far I think I want an AR-15 type..quad rail..adj stock..maybe an Aimpoint. Wouldn't mind if it turned out looking like the one you posted!
Beautiful, how much do you have invested into that?
Very nice.
What kind of forward grip/bi-pod is that?
Very nice, very, very nice. Could you give us a break down on the accesories.
Very nice....How many does that make???
Sorry to HiJack

Check out this article: So you want to buy an AR-15, huh?
Pretty extensive reviews from someone who knows all about the AR platform.

I now return you to your regularly scheduled programming.

range report

very nice setup. i think we need a range report next.
it is just what i want. in a battle rifle and it shoots good and fast. from the benchit shoots less than MOA(minute of angle ) witch i have found to be the norm for AR type rifles. i have only had one that did not and i sold it .i have shot this more than my other ARs because its fun and fast .it has every thing you can put on it .with out getting carried away.the ACOG.with the dot is the only way to go .I was worried a bout spending more$$$ on the scope than the gun. but am glad i did.it is fantastic . the bullet drop compensating retical is dead on out to 300 meters and with in center mass out to 600 .cant say enuff good stuff about it . the only thing about this set up that is a bummer. is that i can not co-witness my flip up battle sights with this scope. thats where the larue quick detach mount comes in .i just flip the two levers and the scope comes off .and back on with out losing zero so no big deal .i like this rifle !
