Finished my break-in the other day and very pleased with how my PM9 performed.
Ammo used;
50 Rds Magtek 115 FMJ
50 Rds PMC 124 FMJ
50 Rds 115 Silvertips JHP
50 Rds Federal 9mm 115+P+ 9BPLE
Went as far as mixing up the ammo to see if I had a problem with a FTF but all rounds ran flawlessly, very pleased with how it ran. Now ready for full time carry! Also the CT LG-437 works great and the fit and finish are top notch. Fit's
like a glove in my new Crossbreed Holster!

Thanks for the range report. The PM9 is an outstanding small CCW handgun and maybe the premier pocket nine on the market. Don't let some of the Kahr critics here influence you. My 2 Kahrs (PM9 and CW40) have been as close to flawless as possible with many hundreds of mixed rounds through both. I run all my handguns hard an often and my Kahrs have been great. I know and shoot regularly with many fellow shooters who own Kahrs and they almost universally love them.

I've been looking at the PM9 for a while so I rented one the other day - It is nice and small but shooting it was not fun. I used the short mag.

My other gun is a M&P 9mm full size which has like, no recoil at all. I found the PM9 very snappy (never fired a .40). I also had a rough time getting shots centered at 7 yds - everything was lined up vertically but about 6" to the left. To save money I only shot 50rds.

It's not entirely off the list for my EDC but while it was at the top of the list before I shot it, it's now about neck and neck with a M&P 9c. The M&P is heavier, bigger, etc. etc. but I just shoot so much better with it. I probably shoot twice a month and have no plans on increasing that frequency.

How long does it take to get used to the trigger and such of a gun like the Khar?

I did much better this time out, the first to the range I was all over the place. (Used to my S&W 5906 SA) plus I did not have the CT my first time. The CT really helps keeping your sight on target while using the DA trigger of the Kahr. Very helpful, all my shots were spot on.

Does the manual tell you to change the recoil spring after 1000 rounds?

I experienced failure to go fully into battery issues with my first PM9, among other issues. Kahr told me the recoil springs need to be changed after 1000 rounds, but that info was not in their manual back then.

Curious if they have added that caveat to their manual yet?
