Christmas is comming around pretty soon and I was going to buy the GF a knife. I am in love with my Endura4 and was hoping to stick with the Spyderco line(unless you have a good suggestion). My GF is pretty small, 5'6" 110ish lbs. This leads to the obvious problems. I dont want to buy her a knife that she thinks is too big and would not like to carry. She has also expressed interest in a pink knife:aargh4:.

So far my research has lead me to the Delica, Native, and of course the key chain sized ladybug. I'm not sure that the size of the first two would be small enough to be comfortable. The Ladybug just seems like an keychain, not a knife.

I am not sure whether or not she wants to carry this in her purse or pocket. I hope for the latter.

There's a pretty lengthy thread going on Lady knives here.

If she's interested in colorful knives then I'd take a look at Kershaw. They make some interesting knives.

I prefer fixed blade knives for defensive purposes but folders are better than nothing.

Something with a clip on it so that she has better access to it is nice as well. Even if she keeps it in her pocket she can use the clip so it doesn't get lost in her pocket.

The Benchmade Griptilian is nice, and the smaller size ("Mini Grip") comes in pink.

I carry a full sized Doug Ritter version of this knife with M2 steel.

Oh, cool, I just noticed the Doug Ritter version now comes in pink.
