I have a IWB kydex holster that is rubbing my skin on my side. I dont like to wear an undershirt. I have seen a few holsters where people are adding a felt/leather like material to the backside of the holsters to keep from rubbing the skin. Looks like it might have an adhesive backed material. Tried to find the thread that had the material but I cant find again. Anyone have any information on the product? Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks
Richard

What's it doing to you by rubbing? I'm just wondering what a different material is going to do to help. Personally I'd find felt or moleskin more irritating rubbing up against my skin than kydex, but maybe that's just because I'm used to it. If you do try anything, I'd suggest something easy to get back off to start with, just in case you find it doesn't help.

Had the same problem from my hand grip. Got some tank top T shirts and the rub is gone plus can wear with any shirt and look like no T on. Cool in summer also.

I know several people have already said it, but I'll just add to it in hopes that it will get the point across.

Undershirts. Specifically tank tops, often referred to as "wife beaters". Very comfortable once you get used to them (which doesn't take long).

Just please, for the love of everything proper, don't wear them in public without a regular shirt over them. Cause that's just kinda trashy.

The problem is caused my the movement of the holster causing friction on your non moving skin. If you apply something to the back of the holster, it will just be a different surface rubbing on your skin. An undershirt allows the holster to do it's thing while protecting your skin from the friction. I use T shirts, but A shirts are fine too if you are worried about the heat.
