I have a Lee safety beam scale. I read the instructions that come with the scale. I am having a hard time setting it correctly in the .1 (tenth of a grain) portion. any advice on how to read the white lines. i.e. what portion goes on each side of the number. Thanks in advance.

Those scales are incredibly...um...delicate? about their settings and readings. The instruction sheet from the factory is accurate, but you're going to waste alot of time trying to get it to balance and give a good reading.

I strongly recommend that, if you are able, cough up $30 and get an electronic scale from Midway (the frankfort arsenal one is on sale, and it works pretty well, my only complaint is that it turns off while I am charging a case and I have to turn it back on to keep going)
